Research Project

We study molecular basis of plant-microbe interactions, environmental microbiome and its contribution to biodiversity and environmental sustainability.

Project 1: Microbiome mapping of desert plants in the Southern Morocco.

With the funding of the Phosboucraa foundation, we are studying the microbiome associated with plants naturally growing in the different ecosystems in the Southern Morocco.

Project 2: Cyclopedia of African Plant Diversity for Climate Resilience (CAPCliRes).

Working on the biodiversity genomics, microbial diversity and gene functionality of unexplored plants throughout Africa for climate resilience.

Project 3: Assessment of microbial isolates for the abiotic stress responses.
